Emergency Temporary Fix for a Damaged Blue Sealing Ring

There are two possible reasons for reduced suction:
1. The air-valve disc is missing.
2. The blue sealing ring is damaged.

Common causes of damage to the blue sealing ring:
1. The nasal aspirator was not cleaned thoroughly, leaving old lubricant on the sealing ring. Applying fresh oil without removing the old oil may cause the oils to mix and damage the ring.
2. A non-edible petroleum-based lubricant—such as petroleum jelly, baby oil, or sewing machine oil—was used. These products may damage the sealing ring due to their ingredients. Please use only sunflower oil or vegetable oil.

▷ Four-Step, No-Cost Emergency Fix
Need to use the nasal aspirator urgently, but the sealing ring has hardened? 🙋🏻‍♀️
Step 1: Prepare a rubber band.
Step 2: Remove the blue sealing ring.
Step 3: Place the rubber band into the groove.
Step 4: Reinstall the blue sealing ring over the rubber band in the groove.
